Creating a Goal Definition

A Goal Definition is used to determine when commission should be paid to an Affiliate. Along with creating your Goal Definition you must install into your website the code generated.

• Goal Name
• Description
  Affiliates will review this when selecting your program. e.g. 15% Commission on all sales
• Criteria
  Describe any criteria to which the goal must satisfy. You can decline any commission that is in breach of this criteria. e.g. Commission on returned goods will be declined.
• Commission
  Here you have two options, Fixed and Percentage of Sale
• Fixed
  This will set a fixed commission value for the goal. The goal value is not used when determining commission. You should enter this in pounds, do not include the pound sign.
  
• Percentage of Sale
  The goals value is used to determine commission

Click on the 'Create Goal Definition' button. Your goal will now be created, click on the link 'Get tracking code', you will be now taken to the goal's edit page which includes details of installing the tracking code.

Before your goal will be set to active your tracking code must receive an impression by a visitor.
