Credit Warning Level

The Credit Warning Level, or CWL, alerts merchants and affiliates that the merchants credit balance has reached a critical level. Aflite calculates the CWL based on historic data, where no data is available the CWL is set to £100.

Merchants should always ensure their credit balance is above the CWL for confidence to remain by affiliates in their program.

When the balance falls below CWL

When a merchants credit balance falls below the CWL all affiliates who have been asked to be notified of such event will receive notifications. Affiliates are advised that whilst there are funds,  funds may not be available for future commission.

When the balance returns above the CWL

When the merchant tops up their account credit balance, affiliates who have asked to be notified of this event are sent notifications. Affiliates are advised that the merchants account is in good order.

Why have a Credit Warning Level?

It is important for Aflite to have a safe guard mechanism that pre-warns affiliates of account balances and statuses. Affiliates should have the opportunity to no longer promote a merchant they feel is at risk of being unable to pay.

The nature of affiliate marketing means that commission can be due for actions and efforts made by affiliates days prior to the commission being realised.
